I don’t know at what age I claimed the “artist” title, but I have been making art as a way to process thoughts and feelings for as long as I can remember.

A major through line of my work has been the exploration of color and texture and how those combine to evoke stories. Although I considered myself solely a painter for years, fiber work has become one of my favorite mediums of late. Drawing on the same exploration of color and texture through embroidery, weaving and other techniques is similarly enlightening as any painting or drawing mediums I’ve used in the past. Observations of nature have also largely impacted my artistic decision making. Through both nature and art I can always find myself again.
